We all find ourselves in this unfolding ‘reality’ — in this unfolding immediacy, in this spontaneous NOW…
The popularity of the Candida diagnosis was born out of a time when conventional medicine was in complete denial. It was the mid-1980s—practically the Dark Ages in chronic illness—and the medical model was not validating women’s health concerns, except by offering hormone replacement therapy or antidepressants. Whether we engage in the waves of hysteria or simply surrender to the reality before us is really our choice. Naturally, we do not have a choice about everything. I did not have a choice about my flights being cancelled this morning or the federal government travel restrictions or the money I have most probably lost. But I do have a choice about how I respond to it all. Whether I reside in complaint or graceful acceptance.

The scene of a woman embracing her newborn when she’s handed over her baby by the nurse often intrigues me as to how does this emotion arise. From the day the woman is given this wonderful responsibility and status of “mother”, she takes care of her baby more than her own self; and even after the child has grown up, her love for the child never fades.
This pure relationship between a mother and her child makes me wonder what love is. Is it a rise of emotions, a sense of attachment, an intense attraction, a feeling of affection or a readiness to sacrifice everything for the other person?

Where Does It Come From?
The acai palm is a species native to the swamps and floodplains of Brazil, Trinidad, and various parts of South America. It belongs to the genus Euterpe along with other smaller palms and it goes by the scientific name Euterpe oleracea. This species of palm is widely cultivated for its fruit and for its hearts of palm, though the leaves are also used for hats, baskets, or brooms and the trunk of the tree can be processed into dietary supplements. In recent years, demand for acai berries as dietary supplements has skyrocketed to the point where the plant is almost exclusively cultivated for that purpose.
